We are delighted to announce a new collaboration between the HCA and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to help advance open science, global capacity and ethical frameworks to deliver the benefits of genomics at a global scale.

Since its inception in 2016, HCA has advocated for open, ethical, equitable and representative science that benefits all communities worldwide. The collaboration with UNESCO recognises both organisations’ commitment to these principles. HCA’s mission aligns with the UNESCO mandate for advancing open science through international collaboration for peace and sustainable development.

Today, leaders from HCA and UNESCO signed a letter of intent to work together, at the 2025 Multistakeholder High-level Conference on Science Diplomacy in Paris.
