HCA Africa hosted the four-day in-person Computational and Experimental Design Workshop in Accra, Ghana, 7-10 March, 2023. 

Thanks to support from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and the Gates Foundation, and to the University of Ghana, WACCBIP, for hosting, this workshop brought together a total of 60 computational biologists, researchers and staff, from 13 countries including Ghana, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Zambia, Malawi, Mali, Cameroon, Kenya, Gambia, Senegal, Uganda, South Africa and USA.

This first HCA Africa in-person Workshop included training in both experimental and computational approaches. Students focused on one of the two tracks, whilst also learning crossover techniques.  Additional training workshops are being planned and will be added to our website.
