HCA White Paper

In 2017, the Human Cell Atlas (HCA) community finished an initial planning phase and released the HCA White Paper which laid out the plans to build a high-quality and open-access Human Cell Atlas. The White Paper provides the HCA community with a framework for the first draft of the Atlas; descriptions of the technology and data analysis tools; an introduction to the data infrastructure; a deeper look at biological systems to explore and map; and details on governance, ethics and funding.

The HCA White Paper is a living document, with iterative changes in line with the needs of HCA.
