No topic could be more relevant, or urgent, than the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Early in the crisis HCA research led to significant findings related to the etiology of the disease, as highlighted in a series of papers and at our joint workshop with the NIH in March 2020. Since that time single-cell biology has continued to yield profound insights into the transmission and pathogenesis of Covid-19. The forthcoming symposium will feature these advances and provide an opportunity for researchers to share data and hypotheses and connect with others working on similar problems.
